Every word you speak starts as a signal. Even when you only say it in your head, your brain still sends faint commands to your tongue, jaw and throat. Nothing visibly moves, but the signal is there.

Innerspeak is building earbuds that read those signals and turn them into text. Say a sentence to yourself, lips still, and it appears on your screen.

Our goal is simple: anyone can talk to a computer, anywhere. Without making a sound, without moving your lips, with nothing physical required and nothing you'd go to surgery for. The same goal is about restoring speech: people who lose their voice to throat cancer surgery or a paralyzed voice box can often still shape every word with their tongue and jaw, and we aim to give those words a voice again.
